COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Growing food is an equalizer. Falaha Center aims to be part of the equation.

Since 2019, our first farming season, the Center has donated over 3500 pounds of vegetables to the Cornell Cooperative Extension gleaner program. We upped our food pantry donations in 2023,, donating more than 1000 pounds of vegetables in that season alone.

The Center also began working with the Islamic Center of Rockland’s youth group in 2019 to provide farm activity-based mentorship and education.

In 2024, we held our first Falaha Farm School program, hosting 5 day-long workshops from April to November, bringing together kids 10+ to connect with nature, the fundamentals of Islam, and each other.
